Chorus for FL Studio

Chorus reads your FL Studio project and writes and edits notes in any channel's pattern, makes new patterns, and sets channel mixes, the tempo and plug-in parameters. You review each change and undo anything.

Chorus is the AI agent inside your DAW, for Ableton Live, Logic Pro and FL Studio. It proposes changes you hear, review and undo. Works with FL Studio 2025 or later on macOS.

Things to ask in FL

  • “Write a melody over these chords in pattern 3”
  • “Make the hats in pattern 1 groove: ghost notes and a little swing”
  • “Write an 808 line that follows the kick”
  • “Turn the pad channel down and pan it slightly left”
  • “Set the tempo to 140 and halve the hi-hat velocity”

What Chorus can do in FL

Write and edit notes

Notes in any channel's pattern, including drums played one sound per channel or through FPC, and new patterns.

Channel mix

The Channel Rack's volume, pan, mute, solo and names, and the tempo.

Plug-ins

Parameters on the channel's instrument and the effects on its mixer insert, with FL's own display values.

FL Studio support is in beta. Arranging in the Playlist, sends, the master fader and audio clips come later.

Set up in a few minutes

  1. Step 1

Install Chorus and its FL scripts

Drag Chorus into Applications, open it, choose FL Studio, then Settings → DAW → Install with FL closed. Chorus also turns its script on in FL's MIDI Settings.

  2. Step 2

    Allow Chorus Connect

Turn on Chorus Connect in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, once.

  3. Step 3

    One pick per FL session

The first time you apply a change after opening FL, choose Tools → Scripting → Chorus in the piano roll when Chorus asks. The change goes through as soon as you do.

FL Studio's own AI: Gopher, and what Chorus adds

In FL Studio 2026, Gopher can take actions in your project, such as creating drum patterns and applying effects. Coverage of the release says it can't write melodies or chords, create automation, or choose presets.

Chorus writes and edits melodies, chords, basslines and drums in your existing patterns, and shows every note it adds, removes or changes before anything reaches FL.

Questions

Which versions of FL Studio does it work with?

FL Studio 2025 or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 12 or later. Windows is next.

Why the one pick per FL session?

FL only lets a piano-roll script run from its own menu, so Chorus asks you to choose it once each time you open FL. After that, Chorus applies changes on its own.

Does Chorus change my project without asking?

No. Every change arrives as a proposal you can hear, review and edit. Nothing reaches your DAW until you apply it, and History can undo anything Chorus applied.

What does it cost?

Chorus is free during the beta. It runs on your own AI key, so you pay the provider directly for what you use; a typical request costs a few cents, and you set spending limits.

What leaves my Mac?

Only what the agent needs for each request: track, clip and device names and values, and the notes it reads, sent to the AI provider you chose, with your key. Your audio, samples and project files stay on your Mac. The trust page has the details. Read the trust page →
